Try right-clicking on the download and select ’save link as’ or something similar. Sounds like you are just opening the file instead of saving it. Good luck!

For some reason I can’t open the ipsw from any of the links that I’ve found. My winrar tries to open it but it just shows me multiple files! How do I download the executive file (or find one to download) I really need my jailbreak fix! P.s. I’m running XP

Did you just download the torrent file to your desktop? Or did you use a BT client like uTorrent? (Sorry if thats a dumb question, just want to rule it out). Try just downloading the executable instead. I think it will work for you then.

I downloaded torrent for windows for the Dev team blog. The icon shows up on my desktop but unable to open when I click to open. Do I need a program to unzip file first?

Hey John. I don't have any experience with non-AT&T jailbreaks. I wouldn't want to risk giving you any bad information, but was your iphone purchased unlocked and able to be used on T-Mobile or did you previously unlock it yourself? I can tell you that the recently released UltraSn0w seems to be the unlocking app of choice and if I understand correctly it is fine to use in conjunction with RedSn0w. But go to the Dev Team's blog and do some research to be certain. Hope this helped!
